It is widely believed that “Clementine” a hybrid fruit, a cross between orange and mandarin, was first discovered in 1902 by father Clement, a French monk. lntroduced in the region of Berkane in the early forties, this sweet and juicy easy-to-peel fruit well adapted with a relatively mild Mediterranean climate and a rich soil. The region of Berkane, situated on the feet of the Beni Snassen mountains, is spreading on the banks of the Moulouya river in the north east of Morocco.
With more than 8000 hectares of citrus fruit trees, the region of Berkane is undeniably the “Terroir of Clementine”.
This blessed land, sunny and warm, gives us delicious citrus, fresh and of high quality. From a long time ago consumers trust us to offer them the best of this terroir.
